Finally, Bali. I've been waiting for this journey for so long !  Everything is worth it from foods to Bali's magnificent landscape. People are friendly, the weather is perfect, thank you, Bali, for your kindness.

This is the first time I went to Bali. We booked a tour via an agent-based in KK city. First, we thought, we will travel on our own, kind of like, a little adventure to unknown places but thank God, we choose to use tour agent. The reason is, with tour agent, you just relax and everything set by the agent and you doesn't have to crack your head, find a taxi, where to go next, is it far from here and many other things (but if you are amazing tour planner, you might want to give a shot). It will be tiring and furthermore, there is someone will assist you if need anything.

We stayed at 3-star hotel, The Sunset Hotel Kuta, Bali. We arrive quite late like around 9.00 pm, so we just directly check-in. The room ( as per the photo above) is large and it has the indoor swimming pool & private balcony. After we finish unpacking, we decided to go out for dinner. I was a little bit scared before I came here, reading a few comments from on this hotel location " hard to find eateries," but it was completely opposite! Restaurants are everywhere and you can choose from simple soto to delicious western menu. Beer is quite cheap and the food is spicy. You have to clearly mention the order taker on your level of spiciness. Spicy means very spicy!

Here are my favourite places of interest. Might be you agree with me.

A must-visit place of interest while in Bali

Our tour has been amazing and tiring as well. So, here is my list of beautiful and worth to visit.

1. Pandawa Beach
It was not in our itinerary but somehow, our tour guide is so kind & generous enough to bring us to Pandawa Beach. At the time we visit, it's like 12 noon, so it was hot! Maybe 40 plus or more. You definitely need a sunglass. Pandawa Beach is still under construction (the road, shops) but the view is priceless. Along the way to the beach, you can stop by and taking pictures with 10 meters high statues of Hindu's God. Amazing.

2. DMZ 3D Art Museum
After all of that hot sun, it is time to cool down by visiting DMZ 3D Art Museum. The museum is so big and we're like to spend almost 2 hours inside. The museum divided into many themes, from Eygpt, Sea Monster, Paris Tour, Disney Life, Wonderful Indonesia, KPOP Theme, 3D and sex theme (yes, 3D naked people having sex). Take a lot of pictures!

4. Sunset Dinner at Jimbaran Beach.
Famous Jimbaran Beach! Love it, the wave is massive and cold. There are shops everywhere and pack with tourists. We are here for dinner on the beach while watching the sunset. Sound great, right? It is. Calm, cold and easy breezy.

5. Mengwi Royal Family's Taman Ayun Temple
I never been to the temple before and being here, it's such a calm place. I was amazed by the architecture, the preservation works done, the cleanliness and the temple itself. The garden so beautifully maintained and we need to wear a sarong to enter. Worth to visit and great for taking photos.

6. Tirta Empul Temple
Pura Tirta Empul is a Hindu Balinese water temple located near the town of Tampaksiring. The temple is famous for its holy water spring. There is one ritual which everyone can participate, pure/holy water bathing or purification. So, bring extra clothes. Like us, we just wash our face. This water believes to bring good luck and shade away all negativity.  Get a great local guide, so he can tell you A to Z on the history of the temple.

7. Uluwatu Temple
One of the best place to visit while you in Bali. The view is priceless. We arrive there at 12.30 noon, so it was hot! Don't forget your sunblock. The view is better during this time as the ocean is so blue even though it was hot! So, beware of the monkeys. Yes, many of them. We have been warned by our tour guide to keep our things in a bag such as sunglasses, phones, and even water bottle. These monkeys are known for their ability to grab anything from tourists. When we were there, there is one Chinese guest ...wait...three of them get "robbed" by the monkeys (probably they don't listen to the announcement made every like 20 minutes). So, take note. Uluwatu is a sacred place, so we are required to wear a sarong. Take a lot of pictures.

8.Tanah Lot
"You are not in Bali when you do not visit Tanah Lot". I read a lot about Tanah Lot during my school day and to have a chance to actually be there and see it in front of my eyes, the experience is priceless. It was kind of pack with people (obviously) and we are so fortunate enough to arrive early before the sunset. We also went to the temple and took part in the offering ritual (I guess), it is quite an experience. Souvenir shops are available and it's very cheap! Must go place while in Bali.

9. Satria Agrowisata (
Tea time! If you are a tea lover, then Satria Agrowisata is a place to go. It is fascinating to experience Bali's own products. We are having tea time at the heart cocoa field. @Satria Agrowisata at @Tampaksiring. We were served with 12 glasses of different taste teas & coffees from lemongrass tea, rosella tea, vanilla coffee, rice tea to famous Luwak Coffee. I enjoy lemongrass tea, it has that sweet taste yet little spicy. Of course, after you taste all of it, then you attracted to buy it. The price rather quite expensive I must say but still affordable. Kind of.

10.Traditional Barong & Kris Dance
Not my favourite but I want to put on the list as it was different. Art and dance. It's was ok, to me. Kind of traditional Balinese dance mix it with jokes, so people don't get bored. But I love the two women dancing and music is great. The performance will take around 30 to 45 minutes, I guess. Worth to check it out.

11. Pura Ulu Danu Bratan (Ulu Danu Temple)
This temple located on the shore of Lake Beratan in the mountain near Bedugul. Yes, you hear me,  a lake on the mountain! Located 1200 meters above sea level, it has a cold tropical climate. The journey will take around 1-1.5 to the north. Long ride. But unfortunately, it was low tide, so the temple is not "floating" on the water. But still, look amazing and the air is so cold. Easy breezy.

While you on the way to the Taman Ayun, you will saw a vast green paddy field.

So, there you go! My favourite and must-visit places in Bali and I am sure there are more places to explore. 5 days and 4 nights are not enough as Bali has so much to offer.
